Power is essential on live productions, and we've had fun unboxing more of the innovative gear from

Hedbox

. This week we explored some of their new line of batteries and the

RP-DC50

charger. The 

RP-NPF970

, 

RP-NPF700,

and

 RP-BP975 

are standard batteries marked at a competitive price. However, we were very impressed with the 

HED-BP75D

 and 

HED-BP95D

batteries that have up to two built-in D-tap outputs and a USB port for other devices! The 

RP-DC50

charger is unique because it gives users the freedom to customize charging plates and cuts down charge time with its 

Power Boost Mode Button

.  

We also take a look back at the 

Sony PXW-Z280.

Its advanced features with built-in 12G-SDI and 17x zoom lens are exciting to incorporate on our productions. We're eager to see how the Hedbox batteries and chargers work as power solutions for building this camera up with an additional client monitor or testing out the RP-DC50 charging boost mode turnaround time when in a pinch on productions.
