Rob discussed his favorite encoding programs, TRax and Core from Teradek, and the multiracks we utilize in the Live X Studio. Live X Invited to Present for NY Video Meetup at Vimeo HQ
Live X co-founder and president, Corey Behnke, was a featured panelist at the New York Video Meetup this month, hosted by Vimeo.
After a brief overview of the current scale and scope of live streaming, he looked at existing technologies and practices used in recent Live X productions. Corey then discussed state-of-the-art technologies in the industry and where they're headed in the near future. The audience had numerous questions in the Q&A session, especially about RTMP. Corey pointed out that the SMPTE 2110 standards, finally released recently, make way for the eventual, complete replacement of all SDI cabling with ethernet.
